19 Oct Spring blooms
” Live life in full bloom”
Its spring, and dont i know it. Most of the family are suffering from hay fever , sneezing and rubbing their nose, but i am still determined to pick fresh flowers.
My goodness gardening is teaching me patience, but its so exciting when you can plant out your baby seedlings you have nurtured through winter. And now i can pick the rewards.
In the garden i had beautiful tulips and anemones, with sweet peas now following. I was so disappointed i was not able to use the Dahlia flowers in march for some weddings i had planted them for, as they were cancelled or postponed, but i have been popping in a few sweet peas or tulips in some weddings lately.
We are hitting Peony season and it feels so indulgent to create with them. Look at these colours they are bringing to bouquets.
Roses are about to be upon us, and this year im seriously going to get my nose (despite hayfever) right into the blooms and take a deep breath…..and just take the time out to enjoy them.
What the garden has offered this year in mental health is amazing. And i do hope to visit a few open gardens, or local growers that are popping up. A David Austin rose farm locally near me is about to blossom…..

So what is it in your garden that has you going “Ah” ?
Have you been on a growing journey ? And have you now arrived at spring and able to pick your beauties?
